Default payoff and title

for those of you who paid off your bike through harley davidson finance, how long did it take to get the title?

Took less than 2 weeks to get mine. Was pretty impressed with the fast turn around.

Depends on your state's Motor Vehicle Dept.

They process the paperwork with the DMV here in CA, and then the DMV just sits on it.

I haven't done through HD, but I purchased my bike outright and it took 6 weeks to get the title.
Purchasing other vehicles I have the same experience.

Paid mine off REALLY early, paid cash for it the day I bought it.
had to purchase 30 daytemporary tags, the title arrived before the temp. tag expired

In Minnesota you keep the title, not the bank. When it's paid off they send a letter that you attach to the title that clears the lien.

took less than two weeks for me. And I paid it off by using the "Pay Bill" feature on my bank's website. I figured since it wasn't a certified check it would take longer... Nope... got it pretty fast I thought.

I financed mine through HD for about 3 months then paid it off. It took abouttwo weeks to get the title here in Virginia.

Total of 5 weeks after they received my payoff.That includes the time the state DMV in Ohio sat on it[:'(]
