Hi everyone and greetings from an English resident of the Harz Mountains Germany (current temperature minus 7, last night minus 14!) . I own two bikes, a 2012 Switchback and a 2012 EG Classic and I'm a regular poster on the HD German forum.

Please forgive me for not introducing myself in 'new members' first but I wanted to get this posted so hopefully someone can take advantage of it - because I no longer can.

I've booked (and paid for in full) a double hotel room for the nights of 13th, 14th, 15th, 16th June as we'd planned to go and celebrate HD's 110th anniversary. The hotel is only 3kms south of Rome city centre and it didn't cost a fortune either.

Unfortunately we now can't go because we didn't realise our daughter (who is currently in Alabama on a student exchange trip in Huntsville) is expecting the Amercian hosts daughter to stay with us between the 4th and the (and bloody annoyingly) the 17th June.

As our daughter is only 16 and can't drive we are expected to do all the carting around and do what the college say are 'family days'.

Any road up, if you are going to Rome but haven't booked (or can't find any rooms - they're now in very short supply according to HD) get in contact with me and we'll sort something out. Don't worry, I'll sort out the details direct with the hotel.

Cost inc all taxes was 240.08euro (which is about 205 quid at todays exchange rate).

I have a UK bank account so you don't have to bugger about making transfers to Germany either.
