At dealer today for service and they had 2 Ultra CVOs $6k over invoice. WOW!!!! Do people actually pay this much over invoice?

For years people just ask what is the payment ? I never understood that (money is money) . If people would just let this stuff set at the showroom the price would come down . Last week a saleman ask me for more money then a bike cost when it was new and it was 6 years old with 4500 miles ? When I ask why he said they don,t make THIS YEAR ANYMORE ? And they walk among us

 

For 6K over invoice you think they would at least show some courteously and slip on some knee pads

 

I probably would have come back with something like, "Awww ****. I thought I would be lucky and be able to order a new one from the factory."

 

Everything has it's price and what's cheap to some may be expensive for others. You can vote with your feet either way. It's like saying the same Wonderbread is $1.50 at Walmart and $4 at Publix. You have a choice to shop around or you pay the price for convenience. Dealerships are places you can haggle prices so get negotiating or buy one from a cheaper dealership or not at all. Your choice.

 

with the low interest rates that bank are charging the dealers for their floor plan, the dealer can afford to hold on to the bike longer and still make more when it does finally sell.

 

As long as there are idiots who will pay it then there will be sharks who will charge it.
