Default My Toolkit

I know this is a topic that comes up every so often (maybe not as much as what oil to use)

A few days ago my buddy gave me a swing arm bag that didn't fit either of his bikes. So I thought I would add a dedicated tool kit.

If you would add or subtract anything please chime in.

(no particular order)
Gerber Multi-tool (it has a bottle opener)
Screwdriver with many different bits.
Stubby phillips and stubby flat screwdriver. (went to two stores and neither had stubby combo driver)
Small/Med/Med-Large crescent wrenches
Small open/box end wrench set
Small (13 pc) socket set
Med needle nose pliers
Small vice-grips
small can of WD-40
Handful of zip ties
Red shop rags
Small flat box knife (not to be confused with a utility/rug knife).
Small fixed blade Buck Knife (**** It, I like sharp things)
Half roll of electrical tape
1/4 roll duct tape
1 Bic cigarette lighter. Never Ever; Under estimate the need to make fire!
A few rubber bands

Allen Wrench sets (not metric & metric)
Torex Wrench set.(they came as a set with the allen wrenches)

Small flashlight (with new batteries)
Tire gauge
Two small bungie cords (6", they were laying around)

Assorted bungie cords.

While somethings in the list are not necessarily useful for minor bike repairs they are useful in other situations. Example: One of my fears is to be stranded in the middle of no-where, which is why I pack a knife and a way to make fire.

All in all I think my kit is a bit of overkill but what the hell else are you gonna put into a bike purse?

Actually no. All of this fits into a swing arm bag with room left over.
The tools themselves take up very little room and like I said only partial rolls of duct/electrical tape. In fact all of this fits into a small tool bag and the small tool bag fits into the swing arm bag. I did use Velcro strips to make sure some things (like the wrenches) are compressed into a small a space as possible

Looks about like what I've been carrying for many years. I don't carry complete sets or wrenches and such, just the sizes I would need to fix what I could fix on the road.

I also add some of the more common nuts and bolts in case something falls off or comes loose. Also, take an old inner tube and cut some rubber bands from it. You never know when you might need them.
