Rear pulley - interchangeable between different models?
I was looking to get a rear pulley and I was wondering on the fitment of Sportster and other pulleys. Will they bolt right up if they are the same width? I believe it is 1-1/2".
Thanks!
Thanks!

Learn to use this site...
http://partsfinder.onlinemicrofiche.....asp?make=hdmc
And then you can look up any part number they have in their inventory. That way you can mix and match anything you like!
I'll give you a hint:
Look up the part number for that particular part after selecting year/model. Then select another year/model bike, and see if that part has the same part number on that bike. Easy huh?

I was just on their site, however, finding that part number by selecting different years... that will take a while. I'll just call the dealer tomorrow.
I was hoping I could get input from some of the experts here. I'm sure someone here knows, and has done this already.

On Soft Tails the bolt pattern is the same.
But the hole in the middle is smaller on older pulleys (bikes 1999 and older) and won't fit newer bikes. However, new pulleys will fit older bike rims but there will be a gap between the centering lip on the rim and the hole in the pulley - but it will work.
