Got to see the Ghost Rider stunt bike today...
Hey y'all...I had the day off today, went riding this afternoon, and something COOL happened!
I was headed to Home Depot, and stopped by Bartel's Harley Davidson on the way. Got myself an anti-fog cloth, and some spark plugs for my sweet hubby.
So then I'm out in the parking lot putting the stuff I bought into my bike bag, when this guy walks up, one of the employees of Bartel's, and asks me about my Ghost Rider jacket.
(I have the logo inset onto flames painted across the back of my black leather jacket)
He asks me if it was from the movie.
I say "Nope, painted it myself. I'm a huge fan of the comic book."
(he gets a look at my skeleton-hand riding gloves and sorta figures that out, I think. My obsessiveness often precedes me.)
Then he asks if I saw the movie and how I liked it, and I say, "I thought it was great!"
And then he says..."Well, we've got the bike here in the shop. Wanna see it?"
My jaw drops about a foot and I'm like, "Does a bear sh@t in the woods?!! OF COURSE!!"
So he takes me around to the Service Department, and then we walk into this huge warehouse area where the bikes being serviced are stored. He explains to me that Sony Pictures owns it, and that they just had some work done on it there. We round the corner, and there in a row of bikes is the spanking-clean spiffy little Buell X-1 that Johnny Blaze uses as a stunt bike to jump the helicopters in the movie. White, with yellow and red flames, and the white leather seat has the flames painted on it, too. SWEEEEEEEEEET!
I didn't get a picture of it, because all I had was my razr phone and the pictures it takes are crappy plus I don't know how to upload them. So I found a pic of it online from the set pictures.
Here ya go..........
So, that was a pretty freakin' cool experience!! It made my day!
Now if only I could find out where the hell cycle is stored, and get a look at that thing.....ooo-weee, baby!
Even better - a pic of myself ON that beast. YEAH.
Imma start carryin' my camera when I ride from now on.
