I just noticed I have a screw in my rear tire, the tire is the Dunlop American Elite.
I was wondering if the HD ESP will replace with the same tire as I have the American Elites on front and back?
Has anyone had experience with replacement tires that aren't the factory originals?

I haven't but my dad has an 09 ultra with dunlop elite tires and he has had to have the back tire replaced a couple times under the tire warranty and the dealer replaced it with the same kind of tire that was on it both times.

 

Why not Ask Ur dealer, then let us know..

 

Dealer told me the ESP warranty only covers original OEM replacement tires.
The ESP brochure indicates it covers the original or the replacement tires.
Service guy indicated he had to order the American Elite and I may have to cover the difference in cost, but he would try to get the complete cost of the tire covered.
Im in the nice guy wait and see mode right now.

 

Dealer replaced my American elite tire under the ESP warranty with no hassle.

 

Thats good, glad they took care of it for you. Thats what happened with my dad, he has the same tires and they replaced it for him with no extra charge.
