Default Pure Gas

Anyone using gas without the ethanol in it? I'm curious how much better gas mileage you get compared to the stuff we burn with like 10% or 5% ethanol.
Legislators have approved a bill by more than a 3-to-1 margin that would ban ethanol blends in Maine. I'm looking forward to it.

hmm, I wouldn't have seen that coming in Maine, well maybe in Aroostook County. Good for Maine, well played.

I never buy ethanol unless i have to. Most premium gas doesn't have much ethanol, here we can get gas without, but pay a premium for it. My car gets 5-7 miles per gallon better if i stay away from the alcohol. Never use anything but premium in the bike so don't know if it would get better mileage or not.

I run premium pure gas when ever I can get it. After the ECM calibrates to it I can feel the performance difference, the exhaust has a different odor to it and it averages about 3-4 mpg better then with the ethenol. I will run pure gas regular if I can't get the premium, it runs better on that then the corn gas. If you search "pure", there are many posts on this.

I thought only High test was ethanol free in Canada, unless you bought gas at Petro Canada?

There are places where you can buy ethanol mixed gas. But where I go there is no Ethanol in any of the pumps. I usually go to a Shell.

My Fat Bob gets about 3% more out of a gallon of no corn gas. I use either and usually 87 octane.

I use premium in my tank, so I don't know the difference. Although when I've tried it in my cage, the gas mileage goes down considerably.
