Default V&H Quiet Baffle, Test ride.

Installed the VH quiet baffle today. I like. I have VH straight shots on 88 tcb, stage 1. Loud, almost drag pipes. I wear ear plugs and still just TOO LOUD.

The stock baffle is hardly a baffle, straight thru, no back pressure. The Quiet baffle has a center plug, a step up and is wrapped. What a difference. Still sounds good, you still hear the pipes. The Big difference is the way the bike runs.

Much better torque, seat of the pants and arms on the bars. Instead of making noise it makes more power. No flats just flat out. Glad I did it. $85 and it feels like I changed the whole pipe. Just thought I would share. 100 mph and still plenty of pull.

Same experience here. Nice deep rumble and more torque.

I have the "Quiets" in my Short Shots. They sound even better after the some of the packing gets blown out. Not really louder, but nice tone.

Did you regain some torque with the quiet baffles? Or did you install them new along with the exhaust? I have the thunder torque inserts but never installed them because I'd have to drill a bigger hole where they mount.
