genuine hd or otherwise. looking for parts discounts.

 

This is a topic best discussed by private message not in an open forum. Seems like every time someone discovers a good spot to trade with word gets out on a forum and the deal seems to evaporate. Seems the MOCO is auditing the shipping records of some dealerships and getting after them for selling at a discount out of their established areas.

 

ebay or Craigslist, but I've never been disappointed with J&P Cycles. Maybe not the cheapest, but not far off price wise and you can count on honest shipping.

 

actually i have had good luck with j&p, but as you say, they arent always the cheapest. i am not really much on having to join a club to get deals. i suppose if i did jopin their club i would be getting competitive prices. but i would rather just shop around .

as far as genuine auditors goes, well, thats just one reson why my last NEW bike purchase was a triumph. if harley downsized its auditor and legal staffs, they could likely sell parts cheaper and wouldnt need all this cat and mouse pricing nonesense. we get enuff of that from the federal government these days. i dont need more of it from corporate harley.
