Iron Butt Rally Just Ended
97 riders started the run.
65 qualified as finishers.
Several breakdowns by all makes. Honda ST1300s had an especially hard time.
Several riders had had accidents from minor lay-downs to worse.
Yamaha FJRs took 5 of the top 6 places.
3 Harley's started the rally,all 3 completed it!! One of them had a gearbox problem that could have cost him a finish. In the last 2 rallies, no Harley had completed the rally.
Congrats to:
RexLegalley on a 12 Street Glide for finishing in 17th place!!!
And,
Don Stadtler on an 08 Softail finishing in 46th place!!
And,
Michael Kerkhof on a 10 Ultra Classic in 63rd place!
If you know one of these guys, buy them a beer they earned it.

That is very cool . 40 years ago I would love to do the Iron Butt . Sadly years and health make it just a dream . For you people that can please do it and do it now .
