Default Does 3 M Paint Protector Film Work Well on Harley?

Have a 2013 Breakout with numerous road chips (already) from my heavy riding of North Texas back country roads, which I am not going to give up .

Looking for some feedback:

Is there a paint touch up kit available? Does it work decently?

Anyone with experience with the 3M Material? Thanks!

Thanks - Sticker City no longer ships products. Did call a couple of the 3M film vendors. The Euless TX shop Technics routinely does Harley tanks and fenders - professional application anywhere from $70-250 depending on if you have just tank or also have fenders done.

Apparently takes 2 hours, guaranteed work supposedly can't see the film after it is applied. Gonna try it out.

Default 3M

I did mine myself and am well pleased with outcome, however installation is not for the faint of heart, a lot of water/soap and stretching and squeeging till all air bubbles are gone.

Easy-peasy to do yourself. A spray bottle with soapy water, a squeegee and a heat gun (hair dryer) are all you need.
Make your own pattern and cut the clear film.
Wet down the surface and clear film and place it where you want it. Starting in the middle, squeegee out the water. You can heat the film as needed for compound curves and smoothing wrinkles.
