Default Need some 26 inch Wheel and Rake advice?

Wow...where has our Summer gone?
Here it is already August.....and the better part of our Summer is nearing a very quick end.
How depressing is that? LOL
Well......what with Fall months approaching way to quickly......for all of us.....I am already planning some projects for my Street Glide, which will transform him.....into a Hotter looking ride, for Opening Day of our Riding season....next year.
I am making plans, and buying the parts that I will need....to make this happen.
Since I am going with a 26 inch Wheel, and I am just wondering...if anyone else out there, has done the same thing to their own bike.
I am just interested in hearing back from those, who have gone to the 26 incch wheel....since the Bigger Wheel, requires and involves "Raking" the Front end.
My question is.....what was needed to actually do the Rake?
Did you Cut into the Frame....or.....did you happen to buy something....that would eliminate....altering the frame and Cutting it?
I have looked on this Forum, but....have not come across any of the Forums that discuss in Detail......what other 26 - 30 inch Wheel Baggers.....did ....to accomplish this very HOT and Sexy look?
What Degree of Rake, should I be looking at doing....in order to make the 26 - 30 inch wheel look it's best?
From what I have seen ...so far....doing the Big 26 - 30 inch Front Wheel conversion...seems to be...a lot Easier ( and CHEAPER) ....than doing a BIG FAT 250 or 300 Rear Tire conversion.....that involved a new Swing Arm......Transmission work.....etc.
I know that going with a 23 inch wheel, simplifies things, a bit...BUT....if you are going to do it.....you might as well do it Right ....and go BIGGER! lol
Sooo.....if anyone out there.....has a 26 - 30 inch wheel on a Raked bagger.....please get back to me.....and tell me ....how you did yours and what you would suggest, that I do......that now wish that you had done to yours?
Are there any Kits out there, available.....to make the project that much easier.....than having someone else....CUT up your Stock frame! OUCH!!!!!!
I would hate to have the Geometry of the bike screwed up...for good......if the Rake is incorrect.
I would rather purchase a Bolt on Kit.....that avoids doing any Major Surgery to my NEW Street Glide!
Pictures of your 26 - 30 inch Baggers would be much appreciated.
We all LOVE to see....what others have done....to their own Rides.
Lets see.....what you suggest and what the Final results look like.
Thanks in advance.

I had no idea there were 26" or even 30" wheels! I thought 21" was it. And even though I had one on my '75 Shovelhead, I never thought it was small.

Are you going to ride it or show it? If you're going to ride it don't do it.

Don't do it! To each his own, but that reminds me of those old caprice's with 30 inch wheels. They just look terrible to me.

Don't listen to this BS. Does he even have a bagger? I have a 23' on mine and love it, and ride the **** out of it. I have MANY friends who run a 26" and theirs are just as fine as any other. Several friends with the 30" as well. If I had the cash, I'd go bigger than the 23". Don't listen to the naysayers.

Hot Harley Girl, I'm sending you a pm with info.

Unless all you want to do is ride in a straight line or enter it in shows... Don't Do It!

Well I was in the neysayerslot till I met a guy here In Ga that does baggers Matteled and rake out. They use the trees I mentioned above from HHI and rakes his necks. These bikes run straight and true.Hands off the bars is not a problem.I personally dont like the look but to each their own HHgirl. Pm me if you want their number to pick their brains. Good guys in a 2 man shop that have been kickin out some nice bike for 15 years or so.
