I have had water cooled Honda's and while the engine may run cooler as soon as the fan turns on it blows hot air right into the rider.
I find my RK is cooler to ride

Well from what I remember the 1125 in the vrod was making about 120 hp and that was years ago, I dunno how much tq they make but where engines make power has a lot to do with the cams which could be changed for ones that make more tq and less hp

Also from what i gather the new dressers need some work before they even really pull themselves well loaded up

I think Harley should build a normal bagger with an aircooled 110 and a watercooled one with the vrod type engine after the big ol 110 got smacked around a bit you can bet guys would want the watercooled harleys

The last hp # I remember seeing was 130 after they switched to the 1250 motor -but I believe that was at the crank. As far as tq, I've read about guys getting around 75 - 85 after exhaust, a/c & tuner.

sportster based buell blast replacement is GUARANTEED!!!

I like people who think the Vrod cant get enough torque and is a HP motor.. have you ever looked at a dyno graph for one?

The water cooling system that HD has a patent on is just like the oil cooling system that Buell had for the XB engines from HD and HD used on the XR1200. The water only circles around the exhaust valve in a tube. That does keep heat down some but does not lead to the closer geometric tolerances that a full water jacket for the jugs and head would. It just has not done much good for the Kawasaki Vulcan V twins that have their exhaust valves cooled that way.

There is no miracle for a high powered V twin any where in the near future. Other than the Vrod of course.
