I thought I would post a few pics from the trip to Sturgis this year. Four of us went, myself and two buddies rode from NW Illinois while one took the trailer. He is 79 and I have to admit it was nice to have the truck to carry the beer and chairs to relax in after the ride. It was the first time for myself and another guy and I have to say I enjoyed the whole trip from riding out, riding there and the ride home. Did 2540 miles and hit 50 miles of rain which I can't complain about. It's off the bucket list but will go back after I scratch a few other rides off the list. In my opinion if you haven't gone and have the opportunity to do the trip it is well worth it. A little description of the trip;

8/3 Nw Illinois to Fort Dodge Iowa, stopped at Field of Dreams 359 miles
8/4 Fort Dodge to Valentine, Ne 367 miles
8/5 Valentine to Lead SD where we stayed, hit Stugis that night for a couple of hours 314 miles
8/6 Crazy Horse, Custer State Park, Mt Rushmore, Needles, Nemo Rd 204 miles
8/7 Spearfish canyon, Hulett, Wy, Devils tower, Sundance,Wy, 180 miles
8/8 Bikini bike wash, Mt Moriah cemetary (Wild Bill Hickok grave), Rapid city Harley, Full Throttle Saloon, Sturgis 93 miles
8/9 Left for home stopped at Wall Drug, rode through Badlands, Stayed in Sioux city IA 475 miles
8/10 Sioux City IA to Schaumburg, IL 473 miles

Great trip and the guy that organized it did a great job with seeing almost everything.
