94 Harley Soft Tail Classic
I have a question, today my wife and I went for a little ride and when I came to a stop sign close to my house I smelt oil so i went to the house. When I got home it was oil coming out the CV carburetor. It had a load today, but was running great and strong. I had a S&S Stealth Air Cleaner put on it. I checked the oil and it was ok. Any suggestions as what it could be would be appreciated.

'93 and later Harleys breath though hollow bolts that also mount the air cleaner. Sometimes, some oil gets through and accumulates on the air filter, dripping off the bottom. Some bikes don't do this very much, some, like mine, seem to be constantly dripping oil off the bottom of the air cleaner. I keep a folded paper towel wedged between the air cleaner and the cover to catch the oil.

Yeah I knew that, but I have never seen the massive amount this time that it blew out. It was all over my wife's shoes, jeans, saddle bags, oil tank, mufflers. It never did this until I put my wind shield back on. It was a massive amount this time, I've had it to spit out the carburetor every now and then but not like it did yesterday. Thanks though for your feedback I really do appreciate it!

mine did that due to sitting for a long period of time (3 months). its called.sumping.
All the oil drains from the tank into the bottom of the motor. Then when you go for a ride it comes out the breather then all over the side of the bike.
