It'd be OK if was made in the U.S. but since it's not I wouldn't give it a second thought. Not even the least bit interested in seeing or reading any articles regarding it.

An entry level bike does not have to have a frame that no one over 5'5" can fit on comfortably just because it has a smaller engine.
That was the real reason for the demise of the Blast IMO.

I believe the new Honda 500 line of bikes are made in Thailiand, and I know that the new Hoda dual sport 250 is made in Thailand. Everyone is chasing cheaper labor.

That. It's not that it's made in India. It's that it's another step by an American manufacturer to make an American product elsewhere.

I wouldn't touch that or any other Harley made in India with a ten foot pole regardless of the cheap cost. It defeats the main purpose of owning a Harley. Harley is the iconic American brand in motorcycles. To assemble or manufacture a Harley in India or any other country is a watering down of the brand and a sell out by Harley.

Is it better that Harley dealers have to ban women from test driving, commiting a politically incorrect faux paus, or tell people to buy a metric and come back to test drive when they know how to ride?
I would rather have an imported, cheap entry level Harley like the car manufacturers did for years. Buick/Opal, Ford/Mazda, Pontiac/Toyota etc.. Then riders could step up to an American made Harley. Unless all the Harleys are over 15k by then, and just a toy for rich people. And I am usually a big Buy American proponent.

Thinking Wash it and clean the tires, take off the yellow tape on the front fender, remove the bag brackets and tags, cover the white wire coming out of the side panel, put on some D&D fat-cats and Slam the rear down.

then she'd look totally different/ for the better....

Chit, camed and tuned right, she may go 90 #'s

Smart Idea to make it... brings a lower price point for a new bike and when discounted used Id think could compete with used jap bikes for purchace...

being aware of the India part of this,, many union families try hard to buy American brands. I wouldn't own a jap or other bike. this bike isn't the best example of buy American of course,, but its better than nothing.. lest it starts a person out with a American band and maybe they will stay for the next bigger bike..
