Very good point!

Not many engines have a perfectly linear torque curve.

That is one thing about the new electric race bikes that is really appealing.

400ft*lbs of torque on demand, from 1 rpm all the way to the top.

It's long overdo! Harley has missed out on a huge piece of the market and perhaps this might bring some more changes to HD.

Harley currently dominates the large cruiser market with a 60% share , but you got Victory and now Indian knocking on the door. I think Harley wants to gain some market share that up until now they didn't have there hat in. Hookem young and make them Harley loyal . I posted these bike's on a Kawasaki forum expecting the metric guys to trash talk them , pretty surprised many are interested and excited to see Harley do something different . . . . market share is the name of the game.

Torque is indicative of how much HP the engine produces at low to middle RPM levels.
