Best Blue Ridge and Smoky Mountain Roads?
I could use some help with my Best Mountain Roads web page (see below) on my blog. I've been really busy and haven't had time recently to find more great places to ride, map, and add to my site.
If you have some suggested/favorite routes in the Blue Ridge and Smoky Mountains, please post them here so I can add them as soon as I get a minute. (Please include the route numbers and mileage if you know them.)
Thanks.

"OldCoot" ... Keep up the good work ... Your mapping area is, in my opinion, some of the best riding in the U.S.A. and I've ridden in 46 of the 50 states ...

Route 56 in Virginia just outside the Blue Ridge is my absolute favorite road when heading out to the mountains. Its actually better than riding the parkway itself. Lake Lure North Carolina is also surrounded by true biker paradise.

MAN that's some awesome info on there! Unfortunately for me,
I'm in Northern Va and can't get down there too easily or often (not like I can just "pop in" a 6-hour ride to do more riding. Maybe I should invest in a second-home).
I was also checking out your Craft Brewery section - isn't Duck Rabbit down there? That's also some great brew!
Let me know if you make a Northern Va page, haha!

Maybe you can fly and ride... there are a few MC rental firms down here. One is right in Waynesville, near Maggie Valley and the Smokies.
I used to live in NVa... don't miss it much, with all the traffic now. When I was in high school we rode out Rt. 7 through Tysons from Falls Church, and the road was two lanes (one each way). We did some really stupid stuff on bikes (and in cars). It was even before Reston was started... There was hardly any traffic all the way to Leesburg Country Club.

(I listed Rt.9 already, because I rode it after stopping at the Asheville HD dealer a while back, and then took the long way home... it was a great ride.)

I don't have information to add, but I would like to throw in a compliment on both of your sights. They are second to none. Loaded with valuable information. Thank you!
