It's seems the new GPS system is a very basic system, not meant for true complex routing. The new rider planner on H-D's site is powered the google maps.

So, did H-D end their relationship with Garmin?

 

well, let me add this, the gps system that came built in my 09 bike is totally worthless to me. from what I can see, if I decide to change a destination I have to re-insert the disc to do so -- of which there are 3 discs for different areas

I found it very cumbersome and will be buying a stand alone garmin with the necessary pigtail to hook it into my intercom system

 

I use a Garmin Nuvi 550, and a third party program called tyre (http://www.tyretotravel.com),I can load trips directly onto the GPS or to SD cards.
