Default Remove pin striping

I just purchased new SGS in black denim and was wondering if I can remove the pin striping with out harming the paint. Thanks

Isn't there clear coat over it??

Not sure if there is or not I always thought pin striping was done after final paint

Most pin striping ( factory applied ) is under a clear coat. Most stripers use One Shot which is generally applied over the finish coat.

Why not cover it with another stripe in a color you like like charcoal?

I just bought some Prostripe brand in black from O'Reilly Auto Parts. I applied it myself to cover up the gold colored pinstripe. Granted this is a 2002 electra glide and not a 2014. To me it doesn't look that bad. If you are really **** about "the look" of your bike then probably not the route you want to take.

or pay to have a professional just strip over it.

Harley denim paints are not clear coated. It is a single stage paint with a protector mixed in.
