took out my 09 ultra and notice the oil pressure was up to 60
usually was at 30ish when running and around 5-10 at idle

60 i take it is way too high, did shut it down for a bit and it seemed to be lower

never happened before

restricted oil lines, filter, dirty oil, bad sensor, to much oil.

 

Was the bike cold? Cold oil always produces higher pressure, in the 60 range.

 

Probably the gauge.

 

There is a bypass valve. plugged lines or filter maybe, but perhaps the bypass is stuck.
with the Baisley spring I run around 55 so no, it will not hurt things
