Default I am still amazed at the rock solid dependability of my bike.

Every time I ride it I can't believe how well it runs. It is like the Energizer Bunny, it just keep going, and going, and going! Eight years and pushing 80,000 miles and the only problem I've had with it is a weeping shift shaft seal. Simply amazing!

80,000 is a lot of miles Iron. You've obviously take good care and maintain it regularly. I can't only hope mine goes that well.

So, tell us all about the upgrades you've done to get it that way. And most important, how much did you spend?.,,

I agree. Every one of my Harleys, and I have had a lot, just keep going & going. Even the ironheads and the AMF shovels. Never had any real issues with them. Take care of machinery & it'll take care of you.

I have found, though I like to mod my bike, the Harleys I have had that were the most reliable were the ones most stock....YMMV

As long as you start with something good, then it’s just all about the maintenance.

Good on ya! 8 years puts your bike at either 05 or 06. Just curious if you upgraded your cam tensioners during the 80,000 miles.

All Harleys are good. Some are just better than others

Some TLC and regular maintenance reaps big benefits for longevity.
