Default Motorcycle transport companies?

My dealer recommended Haulbike.com. They seem to be the most expensive of the ones I've gotten quotes from with a 30% fuel surcharge. I'm looking for recommendations based on first hand experiences.

I used a trucking company called STI Delivers from LA to NJ. Booked thru a broker. $540 in 2011 to ship.

I used this guy to ship a buell to houston from michigan. He got it to me in 5 days and had the best price of all who bidded for the job on uship.com.

He is an honest guy who works for himself to provide for his family. I wouldnt hesitate to use him again. Its been about two years so i dont know what he's up to but it might be worth a call.

I used Haulbikes to ship an FXR from Kentucky to Utah a couple of years ago. They were the cheapest I could find at the time, and took my money quick enough. Then I got nothing but a run around from them on pickup and delivery. Without going into all the details of phone calls and emails, I ordered and paid for the shipment in early June, and didn't get the bike until mid September. I would have been pretty ticked off if it was going to be my main ride. I'll never use Haulbikes again.
