Default Clutch Issues

I have a 2011 Ultra Road Glide CVO with just over 22k miles on it, the clutch started slipping, I took it to the dealer and they say the clutch needs replaced. Has anyone else had this issue? I do have performance upgrades on it. I have an 09 Fatboy with 26k and have had no issues whatsoever.

I would start with clutch adjustment and go from there, 9 out of 10 fixes the problem believe or not. Of course they want to sell a clutch

I never owned a Harley with Hydralic clutch lol , I look at Ronnie's catalog, looks like it doesn't have adjustment. It could be self adjusting like most hydraulic system. Then the slippage could be the clutch pack. Please consult repair manual, sorry I can't help.

You had me thinking about it for a moment. lol I am hoping this isn't a trend, we did do a long trip in May with alot of Mountain riding but it still kind of suprised me that it went out. I have also done considerable mountain riding with the Fatboy and no issues.

Well, you Road glide is 200lbs heavier than the Fatboy lol. I don't really know how Harley hydraulic clutch works, it could wear faster or slower, who knows?

Few CVO's in here, I have a pretty well of buddy says, "It only Cost 80% more to go First Class) So maybe thats a weak point of them??

Really I wouldn't think she needs new disk at 22k, Thinking something wasn't right if she was ridden right to go that soon.

Actually of all the reading I do in here (a lot), Seldom ever do I read or have heard about a clutch that goes out.
