Hello all. I have recently purchased a 2013 Breakout. Not easy finding parts for this bike or anyone that is aware of interchangeable items. Can anyone tell me if the K&N RK Series air filter kit from a softail deluxe or a fatboy will fit my bike. I believe it is the very same 103 B engine but even k&n tells me that it is probably a different fit though it seems that their online chat if in the Philippines or somewhere. Any information would be appreciated.

 

I don't know what would be any different about the air cleaner for a breakout. As long as it is utilizing throttle cables like all the other softails it should work. The only bikes that that use different air cleaners are the 08 and newer baggers due to the throttle by wire setup.

 

Thank you for the input Hogpro. When the girl told me that they do not make an rk series for a Breakout, I was a bit surprised. Would also know if the 110 cvo and the 103 fit the same headers? Many exhausts for Breakout cvo as it came out first but only a few avail for the 103

 

The RK-3909-1 and RK-3910-1 (uses the stock football shaped cover) will NOT fit any of the 2013 Softail models. The 2013 Softail (both the 103" and 110") have a different throttle body than the 2012. The TB has a part that hits our backing plate and keeps it from sitting flush against the backing plate.

We have not test fit the Street Metal or AirCharger hits on the Breakout yet (which is why we don't list them), but they do not have that issue with the throttle body since they use an adapter between the backing plate and throttle body.

Either ask ur dealer or I'd call K&N's no. at the top of the above link.
