Default 39 degrees this morning

Left for work this morning sunny and 39F (4 celcius). Pretty brisk ride but really nice. Pair of thermals under the Dickies, my heated jacket liner and I was good to go. The only thing cold at all was my face... Think Ill have to break down and either go with the balaclava tomorrow or the full face

A good full face will work great. A good one.

My 3/4 with a face shield and my "SWAT" mask, my face stays pretty warm. But 39°, that's pretty cool/cold.

Ive just got a cheap full face I got from Harley on a road trip a few years ago when I got caught in a 3 day rainstorm... Finally got tired enough of it I pulled in and bought the cheapest FF helmet they had... Havent really worn it much but since I dont have a car anymore and am planning on riding all winter I think I'll give it a try

I have both a full balaclava and a half mask. Both block the cold dead in its tracks. Pretty amazing how well they work actually. Incidentally I just picked up a heated liner to go with my heated gloves this weekend. Fantastic warmth. I'm good down into the teens now. Snow, ice and sand will be the only things that stop me now!

When the temp dips, I where a modular full face that I wear snowmobiling. Warm face warm head. Best helmet ever.

Been down to 15*F in nothing but a balaclava and full face helmet. No windshield. Expect a little colder this year.

I leave at 5:00am and its dark and frosty... it wakes you up. I started using a mask in the morning but on the way home (2:00pm) its a great ride.

Well, 39 degrees? that's what it was here this morning and going over the pass (3000) it got just a bit cooler - but I was quite comfortable - I wear 1st Gear over pants, my Harley Convertible jacket, with another jacket on top, tour master gloves and a modular helmet.

of course Sat morning when I left, it was 34 degrees so today felt like a heat wave.

If you are new to riding in the low 20s and possibly into the teens please keep in mind that at that kind of temperature your tires never fully heat up and your traction is significantly reduced even if the roads are clear as clear can be. Just a friendly heads up for those that may not know.
