The First Woman Rider In DC
Washington DC may have been ahead of the times when it issued the first driver's license to a women in 1900, but it was another 37 years before they issued the first motorcycle license to a woman. An interesting first hand account by Sally Halterman and the lengths she went to be on two wheels.

Interesting read. Any idea what became of her? I've googled her name and the story you referenced seem to be the only items to be found.

I'd hit that.
"She insists she'd rather ride that machine than eat when she's hungry"
You have to love that, you just have to. Respect to her.
