I feel comfortable riding after 1 or 2 beers,no shots ,I don't hammer them and don't make a habit of it everytime I ride. Most of my stops are 1-2 hours apart so that helps.

I keep it to one beer and hour. No biggie. I never stay long anyway, almost never stay out longer than 2 hours.

i do pretty much the same thing just wanted to know if i wuz wussin out.

i do see other riders not playin it the same way. i'm not one to judge.
That's not called wussing out...it is called common sense!! While I've had a beer or two while out for a ride on a hot day (usually not in a row, and if they are I nurse them & wait at least an hour after the last one before swinging across the bike again...), if you're dopey enough to spend $20+K on a bike (not to mention another on accessories!! LOL), then get wasted at the local hug n' slug, then try to ride home, you're retarded in my books. Walk, call a cab, whatever. If you're planning on getting loaded on 2 fer 1's, then set aside an extra $20 for a ride home.

I don't drink a drop......anymore -- recovered alcoholic. But I don't see a problem with those who have one here and there during the course of a riding day. I'd say that one beer every hour or hour and a half is probably okay, but more than that and you're on a slippery slope, I'm afraid.

It's amazing, almost all of the posts here are talking about not drinking and riding, then why are almost all the rides and poker run stops at bars? Myself...............don't drink and don't like to ride with those that are drinking.

Drink diet coke only. Too many bad drivers out there and you need to keep your head straight. Besides I don't drink any more 10 years clean and sober, rather spend my money on other things.

we used to get away with a lot of stuff way worse than a DUI
but not anymore

as for the drinking thing I have had 2 dui's and dont want another one
what I have to say about drinking and riding it should be avoided at all costs
I used to get sloshed and then ride home but back then it was an everyday thing and my tollerance was better
I would say if you must do so with moderation
I may still have one now and then but it is not very often and it is always with moderation ...

I'm not prejudice, I will ride with people that don't drink.
