Fueling 4000, as the poster above linked are good tappets. I have a set waiting to go in my Dyna.
I'm going to get a set of Gatermans for my bagger before I tear into the bagger.
I would say the general feeling is those are the 2 best. Price is very comparable & less than SE.

Comp Cams 850-1 are Chevy lifters. $11 each on Ebay and the valve train sounds the same as when I ran Black Op lifters at $45 each.
No reason to spend more money unless you're running a very radical cam IMO.

If the crane lifters are able to support hi horse power conditions 6x or more than a harley motor makes using them makes all the sense in the world. Hell want better? use a lunati, comp , rhoads or any top line car cam makers lifter. He wanted a cost effective quality option so there it is. $60 for 4 Vs. $160 + Its proven that it works.
A lot of the parts on Harleys cross over to the automotive world.2001-2007 delphi Injection for instance.. the IAC valve and tps sensor form a Lumina 3.3L are the same and a 1/3 the cost. But HD wont tell you this. The MAP sensor is the same as the 2008 GM's and again 1/3 the cost...
