For God's sake, whatever you wear on your feet while riding should cover the ankle bones. It's so important if you ever come off and slide down the road. The ankle is completely exposed otherwise. Also wear good gloves with knuckle protection for the same reason.

Dude! Those boots are tall they cover everything including the ankle.

I used to have a pair of Dr. Martens exactly like those. The place where the zipper goes behind your heal is very painful if you have to walk much.

I'll ride without a helmet but I never ride without boots
