Depends what state you're in. Here in NJ it's a self-inspection process for motorcycles. No stickers. So it doesn't matter what year the bike is.

Yes your right about self inspection in NJ but there's still a date for having blinkers. I'm sure a state trooper would be happy to give you this ticket if he new the date and check the registration date of your bike.

Love me some hand signals.

Of course, with the crazy textcagers here in L.A., I have to use them on occasion IN ADDITION TO my very bright LED turn signals.

You can look here to find out what equipment is required according to the AMA site. Or get it straight from the state.

I'm sure he would, but he'd be wrong. Even by law they are not required on bikes in NJ.

Here's a state by state motorcycle law link. Turn signal requirements are near the bottom on each page. In Kansas, for example, turn signals are required on all bikes manufactured on or after 1/1/73. In NY, 1985 or later. And so on...

Depends on the state most laws say if the bike came with them from the factory they need to be there and 1972 was the last year harley came without 73 & up require them .

In NC... if they are ON the bike, they have to work...but they don't have to be on the bike
