I heard a weird whining noise at a stop light but just shrugged it off and kept going. A mile later the bike died so I pulled into a driveway. I knocked on the door and asked the guy if he had a hammer to tap the starter with to see if I could limp it home but the thing just clicked and wouldn't turn over. So now it's time to find a starter.

Damn dude, that sucks! I wonder if I'd be able to hear the whining over the noise from my gear drive cams...
If only you'd had to shut off your bike, you would've noticed when you went to restart it
