Brake Job
I am replacing the front rotors and brake pads this weekend...other than the rotors and pads, are there any other items I need or should or not do?

If you're not rebuilding the calipers, give the pistons a floss job with an old shoelace soaked in brake cleaner.

It seems like I remember reading in my service manual -- 07 FLHRS -- that the rotor mounting mounting bolts are not to be reused. I don't have my service manual near me right now, but you might want to look into it, or maybe someone else can chime in.

Do not push the pistons back in. Pull the pins and slide the worn pads out. Then slide a slightly thinner shim in both side if you have the non floating 4 piston setup. Then press or squeeze the lever to move the pistons out another 1/32". The shoe shine them. Then after removing master cap and skimming off some fluid, press the pistons back in. Done this way, you will have a better chance of not having a sticky caliper. They ought to be rebuilt every 3rd pad set
