Scripted Gear Shift Lever Fatboy
G'day all,
Im curious to find anyone who knows what kind of material they use in the scripting of the word "Fatboy" in the chrome plated aluminium shift lever I have. The reason I need to know this, is that after only 2 years the chrome has started pitting. Now chrome pitting on Aluminium had me scratching my head anyways but there is no pitting anywhere else on the bike and it is always spotlessly clean. There was a winter period of about 3 months where the bike never seen the light of day and was covered. This is when it has happened and im beginning to think the chrome plating was dodgy. Anyways im going to have to get it rechromed now but once I do, I don't know what material they use to fill the script "Fatboy". Im leaning towards a black wax of some type? If anyone has any ideas it would be appreciated. Here is a link to the shift lever im talking about.
