Default Cam designation

I noticed with Andrews at least (for example) they have TW48 and 48H cams.

Is there a difference?

Really nothing a 48 is a 48 just it's about fitment. Like the 48g is gear gear drive the 48h I'm sure maybe for for the new style cams and I think the tw is for the older 88s...

Thanks, Magnum. The G designation is easy to figure out but when I started researching cams, because I might upgrade my Wood TW6-6, I saw the TW and H but could not find any real difference in the description or intended use.

Generally Andrews uses the TW designation for TC88 cams. There is no TW 48 that I am aware of.

There is no prefix for 96/103 cams.
48G =Gear Drive
48H =96/103 cams
48N =TC88 conversion cams for use with 96/103 cam plate in a TC88/95

It's not about picking a cam. I was just using a specific grind as an example to show the different designations (TW vs H)
