Objects In Mirror Are Closer Than They Appear.
I hate those mirrors. I understand the concept but none the less. My 07 Ultra I bought as a salvage bike in 2009 had the original left mirror and no right mirror. I had a old regular mirror that I put on the right side. I was at the indie shop Saturday and picked up a pristine pair of real time, real life, this is what it really looks like where you have been mirrors for $20.00. One pic is of the roof of my storage shed and trees. The other is of the inside wall of my shop. I am happy.

My mirrors have the saying " ******** in mirror are closer than they appear " , the fisheye effect is a pain but the print sure is a conversation starter . I like the old plain style myself but lets face it on a shovel mirrors are kinda useless

They aren't that much closer, and I like the fact that you can angle them so that they considerably reduce the blind spots over your shoulders.
Also, I think that if you know that car is closer than it actually appears you'll be more likely to err on the side of coution and maybe not pull out in front of it...

I prefer my main mirror to be the flat mirror over the slightly bubble one. But then, I have a small, rotatable bubble mirror on th inside of my main mirror. I can see directly behind me and beside me in one mirror.

The mirrors on my Shovel work great at about 52 mph in high gear ... That's the sweet spot ... anything above or below is, as you guys have stated, pretty much useless :>)

My Dyna mirrors have no sweet spot, images are a blur at any speed.
