I would bet that the A$$hole that stole it doesn't even know how to ride it - which is why he stole it while it was on a trailer

sucks that some douchebag stole the dude's bike. but at least the news agency could have used either a pic of the real bike, or at least the same model.... how many folks in that area that don't know hd are going to be looking for the wrong bike now?

I am just curious as to why being a VET is even mentioned here?

Because it makes a more sensational story. Local media gets more out of the story by mentioning it's an 66 year old disabled veteran. In fact, they probably needed a good story to fill space. Had it been just a regular person, they probably wouldn't have even printed it.

Maybe out of respect for someone who is willing to put his family, his life, his own needs second in the interest of protecting our freedom. I am surprised it made you ask.

Whether the bike belonged to a Vet or a geek on the street...I hate all thieves.

OK, sensationalism. That makes sense but I was curious since I am a 66 year old vet also and don't think it should be any more newsworthy than if it was stolen from some 18 year old.
