Default Ebay seller V-Twin addict

Most of you know I had problems with my carb last week, I came across his auction on ebay, nice job on the ad, good pitch, heck I was expecting a mystical cure, magic wand of sorts...I received 1 195 jet 1 46 pilot jet, 4 stainless socket head screws with lock washers, and an allen wrench...$25 and change...s'cuse me...too add insult to injury he rocked me $3.49 shipping...the cancelled stamp was $2.32... I sent it back for $.70 I wrote him asking for a partial refund and thought him to be greedy. His reply was to "send it back"...I have since received 9 emails from him all negative, 1 asking if I sent it with a delivery confirmation...eluding to the fact that he intends on claiming it lost in the mail...a dispute with ebay has been filed...
He is in Latrobe PA and goes by the name O Cherrington...
I suggest you avoid buying anything from him...
Truth must hurt...
I ordered the kit before I came to this forum...Thanks to NS coyote...
He claims to have sold 3000 plus of these kits with no complaints...that's $3510. profit for shipping overages alone...
and he's pissed because I called him greedy

Dayum, I already feel sorry for your local HD Parts dept. Service department too. And I've never taken pity on a dealer.

So if I understand the point of your thread correctly.

You bought a kit that is described by V Twinaddcit (taken from his Ebay store ad):

AUCTION CONTENTS
1 MAIN JET
1 PILOT JET
4 Stainless Steel FLOAT BOWL BOLTS
4 Stainless Steel FLOAT BOWL WASHERS
1 FLOAT BOWL BOLT TOOL

for $25.49

You got those parts. He made an additional $1.17 on shipping (as do most sellers).

So were you unhappy with the fact that he only sent the parts that he described in the ad or the $1.17 he bilked you for?

I don't get your beef. You got everything he listed in the auction and nobody forced you to send him the money. Shouldn't have bought it if it was too much. You got the package, then felt you were overcharged. Since it seems that nothing changed as far as his charges went what made you think you got ripped off? A few pennies for shipping?
Even if you opened a dispute with ebay the seller delivered what he promised. These days you can't hope for much more than that.

He is in business to make money. Not to give you parts and free shipping. If you didnt want it why buy it? You made that choice.

Shipping isnt cheap nowadays.

My wife does my shipping thru her job;they used to use UPS,now Fedex.

I sold a 'Shooters Bible' on ebay. The book is about 3/4" thick, and magazine size. Her cost to ship was $8.00.The buyer bitched about shipping;I told him he shouldnt have bought it.

I`m not losing money on shipping.

Agreed.

I find myself rooting for V-Twin Addict, although we should cut his throat and hang him in the City Square. How dare he try to make a buck instead of GIVING this stuff to the op at cost....
