Water in Fuel / Corroded tanks?
Just curious:
How many here have had problems related to excessive water in their fuel (usually with E10 fuel) or a related issue of corroded/rusty fuel tanks?

I'm in the marine (boats) industry and I know quite a few use the Starbrite marine ethanol treatment due to the environment they are in, WET. I generally won't let my tank sit at 1/4 for very long, moisture in the tank can develop and then rust not too far behind it.

I was going to comment...
Until I realized this is probably a cheap stab at free advertisement. You've been here a year and a half, no reason for me to explain...

Not trying to advertise, just to do some real-world research
If I was trying to be slick I could have used an anonymous username and/or made a blatant plug about any of our products.
I'll always be 100% upfront. We are simply looking at a situation in order to determine how serious/widespread/serious it may be.
fwiw, I don't want MY tank to rust out, so I have personal motivation to get this info as well as business ones.

Alcohol in fuel absorbs water. If vehicle is run regularly, any water will be consumed with fuel.If vehicle sits, you should probably use stabiliser,or drain and put oil in tank.
Most rusted tanks are the result of gas left in tank (not full) for extended periods of time.
