Why on all dyno charts do the HP and TQ lines cross at 5250, or right around that number?
---------------------------------------------------------------------------------
...Torque is "real". It can be measured.
Horsepower is not "real", it cannot be measured directly. It's a number calculated with a formula. 5250 is the constant used in the formula to calculate horsepower.
-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------
...Horsepower is work done per unit of time. One HP equals 33,000 ft-lb of work per minute. When work is done by a source of torque (T) to produce (M) rotations about an axis, the work done is:

(Note: Π = pi)

radius x 2Π x rpm x lb. or 2Π TM

When rotation is at the rate N rpm, the HP delivered is:

HP = radius x 2Π x rpm x lb./33,000 = TN/5,250

.

If the dyno sheet numbers are not the same and equal on both sides the lines will not cross at 5200..

I call Bullshit!

The Dyno chart says the test bike is "Pro Charged". The Street Glide in the pictures is not.

I don't know what that dyno chart goes to, but it is not that particular Street Glide!

Now I might believe that chart goes to a full up drag bike.

I have never even heard of a street ridable Harley that makes more than about 200 or 220 hp. Ask "King of Bikes" or "Fast Bagger".

The SG in the pic is his signature pic, not one he posted to correlate with the Dino chart.

Not sure why the gun show was posted during the HP post? Another agenda? By the way, nice bike. I can't read the dyno charts, so they mean nothing to me, but nice ride anyway.

Umm, I don't know if we are looking at the same dyno, but those lines appear to cross at 5250 to me?

My street glide is not the 400 bike. I never said it was. Mine does make 130 however... I will get pics of the 400 bike up as soon as it's cleaned and ready for pics.

It is a rideable, street legal, Harley Street Glide with a S&S 145 a procharger and Nos! Believe it bubba!!! We also have a 330 hp road king that was the baddest bagger in the world untill this girl cane along.

Go ahead and ask fast bagger...

It's actually 5252. HP = (TQ*RPM) / 5252

^^^ exactly what Boondock Saint said. You put 5252 in place of "RPM" and now your HP=TQ.

So...it' just the dyno sheet?? where is this 400hp bike? Unless I'm missing something. I'd also like to see that this attempt to get grip when at WOT. I'm pshing almost 200 whp with a 240 tire and mine breaks loose very easily
