Default help me choose please. 99 or 02 springer?

Heritage Springer experts please..
Both with similar miles (under 15000)
Similar condition. Both stock.
02 priced $4k more than the 99.
Im not familiar with the design evolution and the history..such as any issues etc.
So to me it comes down to value.
Which isn't enough to make an intelligent choice.

The 99 is an Evo motor.
The 02 is a Twin cam, for a start.
I'm sure either one is fine.
$ 4 K difference though?
Shouldn't be that much.

The Heritage Springer is a beautiful bike. Nice choice.

The engine in the 99 is a well built motor and generally liked. It's 80 cubic inches in displacement, single cam, and called the Evo.

The engine in 02 is a Twin Cam 88" engine. 02 was a great year for that engine as the bottom end is strong, before HD cheapened up on production.

Either is a good choice. Get which bike speaks to you most. You'll know.

And welcome, from Colorado.

what colors are they? some color schemes seem to be more popular than others. I had an 02 It was a beast. Probably shouldn't have gotten rid of it, but its gone.

Either is a great choice, as 2002 was the last year for good twin cams, but I'm partial to the old evo.

I'd get the EVO, but that's just me.

Another vote for the EVO. Easy to wrench on, sounds better. 95-up was the best years also.

I just got an 02 FLSTSi. Great bike. What are they asking for them? What extras/chrome are on the bikes?

I believe the EVO softail's shake worse than the twin cam models do. The faster they go the worse they shake. Thats do to the counter balancer in the twin cams. My 02 had a 95 kit in it and it was a real runner, it just needed a 6 speed to truly be a real monster.
do you like fringe or not?
