If I could afford it, I'd have one on my bike. Texas summers are hot and it'd have to help. I had one on my FXE in the 70s.

Also a 2010 SG here. Been riding in the heat of New Mexico for the past 4 years without one. Oil comes out clean as a whistle every time I change it (5k intervals), so far no problems. I have worried a bit about this I must admit. The 103s came standard with one. Maybe the cutoff was the 96, who knows?

If you're in New Hampshire, you'll hit some humid summers, I'm sure. But most of the time, I would think you'd be running cool.

Is the heat bothering you now? I do know that running my VH FuelPak cooled my bike down significantly, 10 to 15 degrees. And made it perform better overall.

I'd have one if it was a parade, cop or escort bike.

I had put the Harley oil cooler on my 2010 when I had it, it helped some, maybe 15/20 degrees. The Harley oil cooler is only 5 fin I belive, its very small. I'm Sure its more effective on the highway that it is in traffic. There are better aftermarket oil coolers that fit the harleys, your money is better spent on a after market cooler.

I like mine, put it on the shovel years ago and put one on an EVO I built. Especially nice to have when you get stuck in stop & go traffic. If the bike didn't come with one, SG or whichever, I'd add an aftermarket one.

I have this one on my evo... a lot of guys complain about the oil light coming on at stop lights but I've never experienced it with this thing...time will tell on my new rebuild though.

2010 FLHTCU with stage 1, Harley oil cooler, and Ward's cooling fans. Got to cool that engine down.
