Default Primary chain tension

Hi all been trying hard to find out the min and max play for a2004 sportster 1200 custom primary chain .......can anyone help .........my first time at trying to work on the bike so really do need the help ....thanks.

3/8" to 1/2".
Found that noise, did ya?

The best thing that you can do at this time is to purchase the HD factory manual for your bike. It contains all the information on what needs and how to do it. All specs and factory torqe information. A manual is the bike owners Bible. Later Fairshake

If you don't want mess with that chain adjuster check out the Hayden automatic chain adjusters at HaydenM6.com, you just might change your mind. I've had one on both of my Dyna's for 12 years, no problems.
