CFR Exhaust

CFR Exhaust
I would like to get everyone's opinion/advice.
I have a 2010 Ultra Classic Limited. Stock air cleaner, stock headers, and Screaming Eagle Street Cannon Slip ons.
I was thinking of upgrading to CRF slip ons.
If I just add the CFR slip ons, and change nothing else, do I still have to get the bike tuned again or use fuel management??
I appreciate any information anyone may be willing to share.

I ran that very setup. I never tuned it or added any XIED'S ect. It sounded great but I felt a slight lose in low end torque. This was with the old style CFR'S. As long as the original air box and head pipes are used you should be fine.
Did you tune it when you put the Screaming Eagle Street Cannon Slip mufflers on it?

No, it still has the stock tune. I bought the bike used this past October. It had stock exhaust. I bought the Street Cannons because Dealer said I definitely didn't need to do a new tune. It sounds better than stock, but not much.
Eventually I want to add high flow intake, and headers, but don't want to spend that much now. I realize when I add everything, I definitely have to tune it and/or add fuel management.
How do you like the CFR's? In all the videos I have seen they sound awesome. Are they obnoxiously loud?

Cfr's are very deep sounding pipe. Not obnoxiously loud with stock cat pipes just real deep good tone. I understand with true duals they get louder. They sound good enough that people would turn there head when I started the bike to see what they were. Very stereo friendly on the hiway. I sold them to buy a D&D Fat Cat with the Performance baffle. now those were obnoxiously loud.

09 SG with CFR slip on's, factory header...just bought it 3 months ago. that sound is what sold me in the store. Added AN stage 1 and yes, had it dyno'd. if you change the air flow you need it tuned...yes first time hurts: $480 for the module and $280 for the dyno tune but after that the module yours...change headers/cams/etc...you've already got your module. My next upgrade is the V&H true duals...then a retune!
