So I'm at my local dealership yesterday looking at the new Limiteds and over comes a salesman. I asked him if they figured out the problem some were having with the coolant puking out. He said "Oh yeah, it was just a simple O-ring". That's it? Nothing else? I responded. To which he replied, "yeah, that was it". For those who have experienced this problem, is that so?

 

I don't have a 14 but I did speak to a tech (I kinda trust him) and he told me the biggest problem has been over filling the system, either by the dealership tech prepping the bike or the owner? who knows....think I will wait on a 2016 to give them time to work things out

 

They come with fluid in them from the factory, the techs dont fill them at pdi (im a tech at a dealership)...there is no oring. The problem was bad thermostats, i have replaced about 10 of them, the first one i did the thermostat was stuck open, the rest of them fluid would actually leak from the body of the thermostat....but i think the bad thermostats have come and gone, i havemt had any issues with thrm for a while now

 

It's good to hear they have hopefully determined the problem, but I too think I will give HD a couple of years to work out the bugs before I trade my Ultra in. Who knows, I may just stick with the air cooled even then.
