Default Ive had it with this smart siren trash. Help.

Hello I have a 2014 iron sportster (keyless) and recently put a smart siren II (correct one according to Harley website) on it. Well it doesn't work. I got it hooked up and installed and all it does is chirps 1 time when I turn the bike on or off. Well the typically useless Harley instructions say it should chirp 2x or 3x if the battery is low I believe.

Not only does it not chirp correctly, when the bike is touched, rocked, or moved it does nothing but flash the lights like it did before.

I've had it on for 3 weeks and it's been ran plenty, I even tried hooking it to the tender overnight. I've tried switching chirp modes. Nothing's worked. Anybody know how to get this pos to work?

Just in case, when you ''touched, rocked, or moved'' the bike ,you dont have the key fob with you right?

Doesn't the smart siren use it's own 9 volt battery, are you sure that is ok?

Not going to help you but I've installed two and they were plug & play on the touring models, sounds like you might have a defective unit.

You should find instructions for the system in your owner's manual.

. I walked to the end of my long *** driveway sat the key down and walked back and tried. I can assure you that's not my problem. The lights always flash there's just no sound. And to the guy who said the owners manual that was useless as well.

Is it a 'New' alarm or used?

I just installed mine this weekend. It works as advertised.

But I agree, the operations manual sucks.

Oh, and I thought the key fob remark was hilarious...
