Default Buying a bike with a few demo miles

Any reason not to buy or be leery of, a bike that has few demo miles, say 50, 60 miles or so?

Those are usually escorted rides at least at my dealership they send a salesrep out with you on another bike for test rides so you cant really beat the crap out of the bike with the sales guy right behind you. I'd say no different than buying any used bike. If you are getting good deal then go for it. They still have warranty.

I wouldn't have a problem with it. Try and use it as leverage for a better deal.

I had a ultra limited that was a demo and it had absolutely no problems what so ever. Demo bikes are really maintained and they usually have all he bugs taken out from being test ridden.

First off, its your money.....so, what would you normally do when buying a used bike? Check it all out, take it for a test ride, have an independent mechanic check it over, then make your best offer.

50 to 60 miles is nothing, when I test drove a Limited last year I was gone for an hour and put about 50 miles on the bike so go for it as long as it comes with the full factory warranty i wouldn't worry, plus now you can say it's used and work out a better deal.

Some of those could be the best.

One year at the Tomahawk Rally, I watched a guy pound the **** out of the bikes on the demo rides. These were not escorted runs, pretty much in the middle of nowhere. He probably put on 20 miles in burn outs alone. As he pulled back into the trailer area, you could hear loud clunking and clanking and the bike was soon walked out of the line up of bikes.

I wouldn't have any problem with it, especially if you get a break on the final price....
