This morning I changed my avitar from the fire logo I've used over the years to a pic of my dad on his 1940 knuck. I'm retired now and guess I was just feeling nostalgic... He started this whole harley deal for the family and the bug runs deep. It all just made me wonder who else remembers where the start was.

 

The day the training wheels came offa my first solid tire bicycle.

 

I've always loved bikes but didn't seriously look at them until I started dating my now wife. Her dad has ridden for years and he got me into it. Started off on a Yamaha and moved to a Harley as soon as I could afford one.

Mine was a little mini bike the grandparents bought for when we camped with the travel trailer. Late 60s. Upgraded to a Honda 90

 

Started with a mini bike I slapped together when I was in sixth grade. I was so pissed when I got my first ticket on it that I swore one day I was gonna buy my own city and make riding mini bikes on the street legal for anyone that wanted to. Well, that never happened so I moved on to getting street legal bikes. Well, most of them were.

 

First ride on the road on the back of my Dad's Kawasaki 750 triple 2-stroke, when I was 5 years old in the summer of 1982.

 

When my dad gave me my first ride on his police bike back in the early 60's. Sitting on the gas tank, with a death grip on the handle bars. Thanks dad.
