Exhaust modification
Hi everyone, I have a question about removing baffles. I have 2012 Superglide. I was wondering what performance and gas milage that will have? That's in advance for your help.

But it will sound great in comparison. Many do it until desire for performance and budget meet to form the perfect union.

I'm new to this site and I have an off topic question about my 89 sportster 1200. I just got the bike last summer. Ran great had no problems. Went to start it a few weeks ago and would only run for around 30 seconds and shut off. Rebuilt the carb thinking that would be the problem and the battery is holding a proper charge. Any suggestions?

You should be able to do the same/similar to your 'glide mufflers. It won't do anything to hurt the engine, and will be slightly louder/more throaty sounding. Do not remove the baffles, etc., just use a hole saw and drill out the center up inside the muffler.
If you go whole-hog and rip out the baffles, leaving an empty muffler body, it will sound like crap, and may have a noticeable flat spot in the torque curve off idle through maybe 3000 or so rpm.
